A Poem by xxKrysti.Kittyxx

Where is he?

That someone very special

My one true love

The one I’m meant to be with

The one that in my eyes is from above

Who is he?

The one I will vow to

And give my life forever

And give everything else up

For us to be together

What is he like?

The one who will be

Perfect with me

And be here for me

In any time of need

When do I get to meet him?

I can’t wait for the arrival

Of the one who is meant

To be with me

Even with all the dents

Why do I have to wait?

To meet someone so important

It’s just so hard trying to find

The perfect man

To be mine

... this verse is lovely, endearing and earnest poetry ... a simple and effective rendition of a commonly-known but profound thought ... the quest for "the perfect man" ... and therefore ... i would recommend the last two lines be moved at the beginning of the verse to serve as the first two lines ... also because there is a distinct difference ... for me that is ... between the quest for one's soulmate ... and the quest for the "perfect man" ... (although it could well be that this is just a semantic issue - a matter of words) ... the dimensions of the magical being described in this verse are beautifully expressed ... with ... "the one that in my eyes is from above" ... "and give everything else up to be together" ... "the one who will be perfect with me" ... and ... "the one who is meant to be with me" ... and this poetic persuasion of a plea to the universe to reveal the soulmate becomes even more enchanting with ... "why do i have to wait" ... and ... "to meet someone so important" ... and yet ... somehow ... this optimism ... goes into that grey area of cynicism with ... "it's just so hard trying to find the perfect man" ... and as a reader who has met her soulmate ... though is currently separated from him ... but intuitively waits for him and can interminably ... i feel that this shade of grey ... is the only speck of uncertainty that prevents this verse from being the magical sonata that it can be ... it is a love song ... for sure ... but it could've been that simply worded epic love song that inspires ... a beautiful verse ... that could've been more beautiful ... :) ...

Just wait and he'll come to you so you won't have to look

I really like this. A lot of girls are wondering when they will meet the "perfect man" or "the man of their dreams"...but the truth is, we can't wait for him...he will be the one to find us, to chase after us and beg for us. He comes when we least expect it, or in our biggest time of need, he will be there. Trust me
