An older poem of mine.

Poor Little Heart

 

Torn so many times

Hurt way too much

Still injured from the last time

Someone decided to touch

But they didn’t just touch

They tore it into parts

I cried forever after

From the pain of my poor heart

Why does it have to suffer

What did it do to you

Why did you hurt it

After you promised you’d never do

That horrible painful thing

That tore me apart

But I just can’t believe

Where you decided to start

Why did you break it

My poor little heart

Why did you start there

Because you knew it’d tear me apart
