Saving Secrets

 

I feel eyes looking at me and instantly think of him

The one whose presence fills me up to the rim

With love, pleasure, and goodness from the bottom of his heart

I’m just hoping that I can get him before we fall apart

He’s a friend of mine you see… one of which I’d like to keep

But someone told another and my secrets began to seep

By the end of lunch almost everyone knows

Everyone’s trying to talk to me each person makes another blow

To my heart, mind, and spirit but then my mind begins to race

I need to think up an excuse at a superfast pace

I say “I don’t like him I’ve already found the one

He’s my (imaginary) boyfriend and so my search is done”

Then we were let out and I ran to save

All my secrets on that very unfortunate day
