Why?

Pouring my heart out

I text him, thinking he genuinely cares.

I think for a bit, wondering why?

Why did I think someone could love me?

Why did I think that he wanted me?

Why did I think that he cared?

Why did I think he would date me?

Why did I think I would be fine if he said no?

Why did I think at all?

If I just used logic

If I could put two and two together,

I would know.

But I have to wear my heart on my sleeve,

let my emotions get in the way.
