The dreams we shared

       Race back and forth in my mind

Sometimes life

       Can be so unkind

You had so much life

       Left to live

You had so much life

       Left to give

When I needed a hand to hold

       Or on a shoulder to cry

I knew upon you

        I could always rely

You stood beside me

       When life seemed unfair

When I needed a friend

        You were always there

More than a friend

        You were a brother to me

A nobler person

        You helped me to be

We were almost inseparable

        Almost as one

It is so hard to accept

        The fact that you're gone

I cannot explain

         This emptiness I feel

The wounds that are inflicted

         Even time will not heal

Now there is a void

         A desolate empty space

That no one will ever fill

         Nor will they replace

You were my shelter

        Knew me inside and out

You will always be my best friend

        Beyond the shadow of a doubt

Refusing to grasp

        The fact that you are gone

Realizing with life

        I must carry on

You will always be a part of me

        Always, will I remember

All the tears and laughter

        That we shared together

Your life was abruptly taken

        While It was in its prime

        Way before its time

It hurts ever so much

        To have to let you go

For all the lives you touched

        I will miss you so

You achieved what others

       Only dare to dream about

A true prince among men

       Within and without

You were an inspiration

       To all the lives you touched

Greatness was your destination

       You will be missed so much

You always held together

       When times were going rough

The guidance that you offered

       Made things seem not so tough

The world without you

       Will never be the same

The warm glow of your presence

       Forever will remain

You influenced my life

       In every single way

I loved you more , my brother

       Than mere spoken words could portray

Your victories were many

        Your weaknesses , so very few

So when I think of friend

        I will forever think of you....
