Let Me Introduce Myself

Let Me Introduce Myself

A Poem by timthy
"

another one of my poems written when I was in a less than pleasant frame of mind

"

All life's color

Rendered to black

Far past the point

Of turning back

No desire to laugh

Nor the desire to cry

No desire to live

Just wanting to die

Did not give up on life

Life gave up on me

Surrendering to death

Only conclusion I see

Blackened heart

Transparent soul

Tainted existence

Loss of control

Death...

Please rear your cowardly head

You cannot kill

What is already dead

Losing myself

Has become a daily ritual

Love, hate, and self loathing

Have become habitual

Anger...

Only emotion I feel

Living in emptiness

In a life so surreal

Always searching for something

Knowing it is not there

Trying to outlive this lie

Is too much to bear

Cannot formulate reasons

Why carry on

Will anyone ever notice

The fact that I am gone

Life lacking its splendor

No bliss anymore

The big party is over

And I am closing the door

I bid you good riddance

To all the hurt and pain

Bidding good bye to suffering

And welcome insane

Hourglass running empty

For death comes to call

Remembering nothing

Painfully reliving it all

Needing some closure

To this hatred that I feel

Final book and chapter

Used up my final appeal

There is nothing left to ponder

Nothing more to say

Mortality has lost its inspiration

So I will be on my way.
