You are the star

In my darkest sky

When I am ready to surrender

It is you that makes me try

You are the ray of sunshine

On the cloudiest of days

When I feel so lost

It is you who finds my way

You are the glimpse of hope

When all seemingly, is lost

Standing by my side

No matter what the cost

You are my beating heart

The essence of my soul

When I am feeling helpless

You have complete control

An ever present calmness

Before impending storm

When I feel left out in the cold

It is you who keeps me warm

You are a taste of heaven

Within a living hell

Just one thought of your embrace

And I know all is well

You are the lifelong answer

To the ever present question why

When I am feeling low

It is you who holds me high

You have shared with me , your life

Showed me what it is like to live

To thee I freely offer

Heart and soul, I freely give

You are my absolute everything

Ultimately , my all

If you should ever catch me slipping

You are there to catch my fall

Please take with you, my heart

Handle with tender loving care

Cherishing the truest love

That we have come to share

You are the only one

Only one who holds my heart

Hold it closely to your own

While we are apart.
