The Voice Unheard

The Voice Unheard

A Poem by timthy

Let us quote the constitution

For the lines have become blurred

How is death of life a solution

     For the voice unheard.

Of course it is a choice

     A choice of divine proportion

To snuff out that precious voice

    When choosing an abortion

Once the safest haven

      Cradled in mothers womb

Has given flight to raven

      In an embryotic tomb

Everyone has the right to choose

       In such liberalistic fashion

slaughtered by the ultimate child abuse

       With no margin for compassion

Opinions will always differ

      Opposition will arise

Its a matter of value and moral fiber

As to where your  conscience lies

Whether a matter of religion

       Or political convictions

Innocence sacrificed by decision

       Despite the contradictions

Defenseless are the victims

      Unable to speak a word

We should take the time to listen

       To that precious voice unheard.
