Lies

Lies

A Poem by Yasmin A.

Who would have guessed,
Every I love you,
Every I miss you,
Was just a lie.

Who would have guessed,
Every time you said you were alone,
Every time you said you didn't mind,
Was just a lie.

Who would have guessed,
Every nice, sweet thing you said,
Every word that made me smile,
Was just a lie.

Who would have guessed,
Every smile on your lips,
Evey laugh from your lips,
Was just a lie.

Who would have guessed,
You were full of lies.
Just lies,
Plain, old lies.

This poem reminds me of a song called "Behind these Hazel Eyes" by Kelly Clarkson.

It was a good poem. I liked it very much.
