He did.

He did.

A Poem by Yasmin A.

She sits in the corner,
Quietly, not saying anything.
She hopes no one talks to her,
But he did.

She covers the cuts on her wrist,
Afraid someone would ask what happened.
She hopes no one notices them,
But he did.

She sees him with her,
She walks away silently.
She hopes no one saw the tears in her eyes,
But he did.

She cries soundlessly,
Not wanting anyone to question her.
She hopes no one sees her,
But he did.

She stands at the edge of the window,
Looking down, at everyone.
She hopes no one comes up and tries to stop her,
But as always, he does.

nicely put this touched me in a way that most people who know me would never understand nor expect... believe it or not ... to me ... i am that girl... and my fiance is that boy... high school sweethearts... but stilll... to see him... looking, talking to another girl... it hurts... i know what it feels like to hide your cuts in shame because you'd forgotten they were there or you just forgot the long sleeve shirt that day... i know what it is like to wonder if and why, even when they aren't... people are staring at you... judging you... ridiculing mocking.. ruling your life with a single glance... but.... i met him... i stopped... i didnt make that jump... (hypothetically speaking of course)... and that... is why i live...
