Youth is power

Youth is green

Youth hates to cower

Youth shall win

Youth takes challenge

Youth scales peaks

Youth hates revenge

Youth takes risks

Youth strives hard

To chase dream

Devotion brings reward

For the self and team

Youth adores beauty

And creates song

Youth performs duty

And avoids wrong

Let's give youth a chance to bloom

 For making the world a sweet home

very great write the youthful are those who really put aside prejudice and old strife and work to further themselves the younger they are even more so the older we get the more the world teaches us to be bitter and vengeful very well captured

Todays youtn seem to be failing at blooming..they are to hooked on drugs or self satisfaction..I taught school and it was very tiring to get their interest..too busy wondering about that nights party..kathie

You are very much correct in mentioning the dark side of the segment of our population who will dominate the world in the near future.
I appreciate your view that comes from your long experience in teaching.
But,could you ever contemplate that we the older peoples are also equally responsible for the erosion of their values and potential for blooming.I don't want to mention examples to make my point clear because you are quite wise to understand what I am trying to mean.
Here in this piece I am trying to inspire the youth to explore their potential to shine as ideal individuals for making the world a sweet home.

As we age we realize the power of youth (that when we were young we may have taken for granted). What they may lack in experience, they abound in energy, vision, and dreams. Youth will win in their time, and one day, short of tragedy, they too will look back on youth and youths with wiser eyes. Let's hope they have happy and content memories and put their fire to good use. They are indeed the future.

Yes,you have correctly pointed out that the youth abound in energy, vision, and dreams.I felt if their the potential in youth might be directed properly and their efforts inspired they must win.

I had chuckle when I read this, for all of what you say is true. However, youth is also shallow and doesn't see the person under the packing. Youth chases the dream, ageing brings home to you that the dream doesn't have to be chased it is inside you. But a lovely poem.
