I love this. In the short poem you get the thoughts embedded that those who are truly great in life are those who performed acts to gain their 'awards'... I got the idea from this in which you are saying that those who have performed the deeds, but do not do it for glory, are not recognised for their actions..

Great ones are those who seek the rough and unpolished gems and help them to become the faceted gems.

How very true! Some of us are privileged, but most of us are neglected and barely shown any honorable recognition. But, if the latter of us are inspired, we can achieve greatness by our deeds. It's also as though we are stars among millions in a galaxy. Some times, even if we are special, we might not be given enough importance and attention.
(Yes, it's quite a pessimistic view of mine, isn't it?)

An award is inspiring and encouraging...it's too bad not all can win awards. But, as you say, the truly great will live in their deeds.

I am very pleased to read your amazing review.
Thanks for the contribution.
Material award is only a piece of joy. The flattery may stay for some times but it doesn't fulfill your life. What matters is the reward of living life to the fullest...the peace of mind and contentment from your choices, because life itself is a choice.

Yes,Dhaye, life itself is a choice.
Thank you for the very admiring review.
Not bad. I've always been fond of haiku and I feel like the simplicity present in this one compliments your subject matter very well. I think I wouldn't have chosen the word 'award' in the first line if it had been me - sounds too banal and disjointed, to be honest, but I'm sure you had your reasons. Other than that one minor quibble, very well done.

It's a senyru, not a haiku.

Adore your lovely view, dear poet :)
it is the deed that counts, it is the journey that is important...

not what someone reaps in rewards, or awards.

so true.
