Two Cups of Tea

Two Cups of Tea

A Poem by Amber
"

a prose poem I wrote this morning as a reflection of this morning and the news from last night

"
Morning, it holds a new concept when you hear it may be your last. Night, holds a new meaning when you think you can out smart death by not letting the next morning come if you never fall asleep. With this one can live forever. Life can be cruel as cruel as we have been to take away ourselves or a loved one. To know that it's you last, or one of lesser days to come you know it in your gut and you feel you must. So fight with every breath you refuse to leave, take in the air and hold it deep, fill yourself with healthy, fill your mind with happy and find you may awake again when the sun hit's your cheek or your lover's face. Hold your head high until the darkness pulls you under. This morning you are awake and can make two cups of tea.
