let the mind come on out

"
Where is this?:::::
We have evolved, they say. From spears to guns. From meat to packaged meat. From animal skin to leather jackets. From carts and carriages to polo races and poultry. Obsessed with order, crazed with control, driven by ambition as survival instincts turn into a mad, bloody rat race where no one wins. A species born to battle the very apocalypse, we take pride in defying the laws of the land.The mind is irrational; and not just about one thing, it is irrational when it thinks about more things than can be imagined. It stops working clearly when under the influence of infatuation or anger. It measures things on a relative mark, and not an absolute one. It makes many a judgement based only on the wrong words of mouth or unfortunate experiences. It’s wrong at predictable times.“Good morning” doesn’t belong to the radio. It belongs to the voices of warm neighbours who trust each other enough to hand them the keys to their respective homes. “Thank you!” doesn’t belong to the ATMs. It belongs to the eyes of a child whose father just gifted him a toy he always wanted from the store across the street. “Welcome” doesn’t belong on doormats. It belongs to the arms of a long-lost friend when you bump.The world is beautiful, isn’t it?

Curled up into a ball painted with blotches of blue and green. Regarded as ‘black and white’ by many, while people like me " giddy with hope " dream of a knight in a shining armour escorting his one and only. While I lie on my bed, lost in a tangle of words, hastily cramming up my thoughts on a piece of paper, thinking of everything that’s right and wrong with this sphere of souls, I find myself overwhelmed by the beauty of strikingly hazy contradictions.

I did enjoy, thank you! I share your thoughts on these issues. Strange isn't it, how we seemingly had much more than we realized in past lives? We continue to turn in directions that while they seem fun and flashy on the surface amount to little in the end. Corporations pilfer our heart messages to sell more products. Sigh, strange contradictions indeed. Well written these thoughts in your head. Cheers!

Enjoy`s the wrong word for me, Danny, though I`m much impressed with your description of the folly of our errant species and your clarity of thought. Humankind have the arrogance to think we are - and will remain - this planet`s dominant species. In many ways, we are too smart for our own good.
Thanks for sharing this piece, mate. P.

So true the world these days is upside down back to front and manners and respect are few and far between- everything being controlled by computers- robotic existence is on its way- people don’t question like you and I they just do- chasing material belongings and losing their minds- well written and so true.🌹
