Reach out.
Take hold of the stone statue's hand.
Wrap your fingers between her's.
Can you feel the pulse?
Can you feel the warmth?

Let go.
Loosen your grip around her hand,
And let your own fall to your side.
Did you feel it?
Did you try hard enough?

But don't just walk away.
Don't give up.
That stone statue does have a pulse.
The pulse of her spirit.
And that stone statue does have warmth.
The warmth of her heart.

But she just doesn't know it yet.
She needs a hand with warmth,
Such as your own,
To hold onto her's long enough
For her pulse to be reawakened,
So that others could feel the warmth of her heart.

I love the imagery, and the metaphor. This flows well, and was very well written. Great piece, and thanks for sharing.
