Symphony

"

A beautiful symphony.
Within my soul.
It is my heart,
Behind my eyes.

Can you not hear?
The melancholy of it all,
Such a sweet ballad,
Of the whisperings winds.

What a sorrowful key,
Yet it still holds hope.
With all it has,
With all it's got.

And out through the darkness,
Will it all just be forgotten?
Such a memorable tune,
One that brushes the heart.

About
I started writing free-form poetry in high school. Most of my poems have darker themes - those are the personal ones. If they have a lighter theme, chances are it was a contest prompt of some sort. .. more..
