Bricks

Tonight I will forge the strongest hands
With them I will destroy the tallest tower
To ever exsist.
No longer will its shadow be cast.
Or its glory admired.
In this single moment,
these iron hands
I shall destroy the tallest tower,
by adding bricks.

Now that is quite an interesting piece to ponder... well at first it seems black and white till the ending

shall destroy the tallest tower,
by adding bricks.

now that was a little twist to throw the balance off, but like real life there are moments that are not expected and seems to shift life for better or worse... anyways what I see is someone who turns there back on fame and fortune because they feel they lost themselves. No matter what it is an excellent little piece.

I started writing free-form poetry in high school. Most of my poems have darker themes - those are the personal ones. If they have a lighter theme, chances are it was a contest prompt of some sort. .. more..
