This tree is mine.
This nest is mine.
I inherited it,
when she left.
Just flew off.
With everyone else.
But not me.
No,
I'm still here.
Waiting.
For her to return.
I want to leave,
but she never cut the twine
around my wings.

This is like a castle that becomes a prison. Great poem. Very Heartfelt.

It is whimsical yet sad...it's like a metaphor of betrayal and abandonment.
