Monster

Monster

"

I will not come by storm.
I will not destroy your town.
I will smile a hello,
but I will not wave a good-bye.

I will freeze over the seas,
stop all sails from catching wind
of the essensials which they desire.

But that is not me.

I will scream to the sky.
Looking.
Waiting.
Wanting.

My cry will be blood-curtling.
But noone will know,
because noone can see
the monster I've become.

Hmm, intriguing in a way, the flow is off slightly, but there's always that chance with any poem. I'd like to know: What is the monster?

About
I started writing free-form poetry in high school. Most of my poems have darker themes - those are the personal ones. If they have a lighter theme, chances are it was a contest prompt of some sort. .. more..
