Sir

Sir

You've got your reasons,
Dear Sir,
whether shared or non.
You've got your silence,
Dear Sir,
and I've got mine.

You've got your eyes,
glancing toward me.
Like a child,
I long to desire.

But my friend,
My dear Sir,
doesn't it seem futile?
We've been spinning in circles,
and I've seem to fallen.

But fallen I have,
face-first with the idea.
And only the idea,
and nothing more.

To you I give my regrets,
Dear sir.

About
I started writing free-form poetry in high school. Most of my poems have darker themes - those are the personal ones. If they have a lighter theme, chances are it was a contest prompt of some sort. .. more..
