Walk

Walk

Let's go for a walk.
Down the street,
and around the corner.

Let's show the world!
This tiny little world,
with all its tired faces.

I want to share with everyone,
for surely they all care,
about how I live,
my head so heavy
I cannot walk.

I can't say I care
about their burning gazes,
their wonder,
as my head drags
on the ground.

About
I started writing free-form poetry in high school. Most of my poems have darker themes - those are the personal ones. If they have a lighter theme, chances are it was a contest prompt of some sort. .. more..
