does blood being thicker than water really matter?

if A is a collection of people

who were rarely around

and when they were,

brought you discomfort,

often told you how to live your life,

because they gave you food,

they gave you shelter,

they gave you clothes,

and somehow that's enough reason to

 

and B is a collection of different people

who can't always give you food,

can't always give you shelter,

can't always give you clothes,

but has almost always

given you comfort,

given you a safe place,

given you company,

given you assurance that

they don't have to fund your survival

to want to live their life with you

 

 

 

is A really more of a family

than B will ever be

because they fund your survival

and somehow, in some way,

the thickness of blood

matters more than the thickness of water

when blood is worth nothing

without water
