Fragments

Fragments

A Poem by Lyria

A broken mirror reflecting a thousand shades of light,
Screaming in pain, slowly dreams are running out of sight.
Nervously i tried to bring the piece together
Fragments of memories i'd always keep and remember.
Afraid and numb of the cuts from the glass digs deep,
But from each piece i see your smile making my heart leap
One by one i started to fix the puzzle of your image,
Fragments from a string of stories we build up page by page.
Somehow the mirror is now again half complete,
I struggle every second but happiness  is such a feat.
I gathered the large pieces of this broken glass,
Fragments of promises that keeps love to last.
The glimmer shines in crimson from where my blood mixed,
With the splendor and beauty of reality being fixed.
Choices? No but decisions will take us a step further,
Fragments that will move hearts like no other.
In sync with words and prose from a poet,
I stared blankly to a complete mirror reflecting happiness without regret.
The mirror didn't show myself as it's reflection,
But the fragments of life, love and it's passion
