A Poem by zoeybutno
"

A piece, thinking about a person you care about, while someone else is with them.

"
There is hunger and there is pain
In this world there is so much grief
So aware that it no longer stimulates my senses
From first to third world problems
I have claimed none.
My concern
my meditation
my fear
is if I wandered down the lanes
through the park of your thoughts
would I find myself there
or the beautiful soul I know by your side
At this moment
her silent charm
and innocent mystery
can sweep you away
in an unsuspecting moment
while I remain at the counter
of this cafe
writing about you
helpless and useless
as the pencil in my hand

I like the part about the first and third world problems. Grief and heartache are universal. One of my friends said "saying you shouldn't feel bad because other people have it worse is the same as saying you shouldn't feel happy because other people have it better". Even in your own sadness, you want this other person's happiness.
