Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek

A Poem by D. Jones

under and below

covered in rain and snow

tired beyond belief

I lay and stare at my feet

rejected from the rest

I feel far from the best

just rewards face me

if i could just move my feet

“lie still”, they keep saying

“don’t move and you’re playing”

this game is not amusing

while my feet are abusing

“come and find me!” i keep yelling.

“keep hiding” they keep lying

i will, and they will be beat

If my feet weren’t asleep.
