Lookout

Lookout

A Poem by zora acquatine

You're not an owl without feathers
a snail without a pace
stop replaying, erasing or running
from the race

The details are placed
Yet your lenses need a prescription
Don't go see a doctor
get a sickness

Your ship, equipped with a telescope
Lookout, unshaven, naked, covered
Dirty Wasted Pirate

Lookout, for the nights you survived
the grit, the rhymes, the rhythm
all sunk and sinking
in your sinking lifestyle

Lookout - not a bird, a slug or a machine
you; a human being.
