I'm a 36 year old man lacking an archetype, so I'm sort of a chrysalis. I pretend it's normal, because male writer growth arc etc something.

I did my 20+ years of wishing everyone would keep away from me. Now I'm friending everyone. I never asked anyone to apologize for being social on a social site, so I don't plan on apologizing, either.

(Well, except to anyone asking "no random friend requests, please" on their profile -- one of which I noticed after sending the request -- sorry!)

Of course, all this friend-making activity means I have 31 new read requests overnight :) I'll read at least one piece by each person who's reviewed one of my works or sent me a read request, but I may need a week to catch up.

I will accept most group-invitation requests just to be nice and help you gather recruits - but I will probably not participate in most of them, and I won't join groups that really just "aren't me."
