About Me
J Todd Underhill has been writing in the Denver Colorado area for over twenty eight years. He has embraced poetics and spoken word art as his chosen art medium. He owned the title “Poet” in 2008 though his writing began far before that. J Todd has performed at many locations around the Denver Area including legendary haunts of Kerouac and Ginsberg like: Muddy’s, Mercury Café, Paris on the Platte, and Charlie Brown’s. J Todd has also worked as a radio host, wrestling announcer, racing announcer.
In October of 2010 J Todd began hosting an open mic for poetry and spoken word art at Five Leaves Coffee House. He then moved to Off the Vine Coffee and Wine Bar when Five Leaves closed and ended there in 2012. The first anthology of works by Mr. Underhill Tome I: Genesis was published 07/07/2011 A second anthology Tome II: Tales from an Unquiet Mind was published 10/31/2011. A third collection Tome III: The Muses Slave was released in 2014 All are available at www.lulu.com. In December of 2011 J Todd helped to launch World Poetry Open Mic, which was the flag ship radio program for radioxisle, but in November of 2012 was picked up by MSE Radio Networks on KZKO the vibe at www.kzkoradio.com J Todd not only hosted the show but served as interim program manager. World Poetry Open Mic went independent in March of 2014 where J Todd Hosted until August of 2016.
In February J Todd began doing a podcast called Coffee With Underhill on his weeks off from World Poetry Open Mic. After his departure from World Poetry Open Mic J Todd took the Coffee With Underhill podcast to a daily work Monday through Friday, Encouraging poets from around the world to share their poetry through his voice.
