Details

Upon returning from my lengthy hiatus and by request from a friend, I decided to host the final "So you think you're a poet?" contest.

Same rules apply, but for those who aren't familiar with my previous contests I'll reiterate what I'm looking for. I just want a piece that connects with me-- that statement is very broad for a reason. Please, please be creative. I don't care what you're trying to convey, but I want to be able to feel the compassion, the sorrow, or the fear in your words.

Also, two very important things that make deliberating so much easier and enjoyable: 1) cliche topics are for the most part acceptable, but please don't take too much advantage of that statement. 2) I believe it goes without saying that cliche use of language is most definitely frowned upon, but I'll say it anyway for those who are still under the delusion that cliche can still equate to originality. 97% of the time, it really doesn't.

Other than that, best of luck to all of you, and I look forward to reading the submissions. This contest is always so fun, and thank you for all of the wonderful participants and the beautiful poetry and prose that has been submitted into these contests. You guys are fantastic.
