About Me

My name is Melissa Williamosn and I have been enamered with poetry since I was a child. It gave me a voice to express all the emotions that were inside of me, that were hidden form the rest of the world. In paper I could put down all my hopes, fears, dreams, and feeling about the world and life. Literature and poetry have always been my escape and my refuge, like shelter in a storm I hid in its safety. I am an English major, but most important a wife and mother. My poetry is not perfect, but it comes from my heart.

This morning I have been pondering about life, my life and what is most important to me. My salvation is the thing I hold most dear and after that my family. All I want in this life is to know that I have done everything that I can to let those in my life know that I love them more than anything. I have been batteling a life threatning illness for a very long time, and I want to make ever day count. We forget sometimes to stop and be gratefull for what we already have, instead of what we want. I hope if there is one thing that my poetry achieves is that it will give people inspiration to be grateful for all the good things they have in their life. And to be a light to the lost in this world. People forget that God is love, and that he came for the sinners and backslidders, not just the rightous. Let us love one another as Christ loves us. This is just food for thought.

I adore poetry it is my refuge and my safe place to express all the things I feel that I cannot say aloud. I'm not always gramatically correct, I may like to use thee and thou, but I love dramatic wording to give it affect. So if you are a dramatic poet with an old love of language that may not be used often today, then we could be best buds.

I have mde my mind about something, I do not trust people who will not admit that they have crazy in them. I flaunt my crazy, others just hide theirs in their perstein closets
