Do not love yourself because society says so.

Mama told me to love me for me

But how can I love me for me when I am in a society that says that it is wrong

Do not love your body for it can be better

Do not love your smile for it could be whiter

Do not love your hair for it is too fine

Do not love your eyes for they are too dull

Do not love your skin for it is flawed 

Do not love yourself for you can be better

Do not love yourself for the society makes money on the things you hide from

Do not love yourself for it is not allowed in the society that thrives off our pain

So true and sad. Nowadays, the only thing we are allowed is to spew empty praise on those who don't deserve it.

As much as I liked your writing here; I would suggest including/looking up using metaphors and similes; this way your writing would have more impact and your feelings more punch to the reader.
