Plagued Vultures

Plagued Vultures

A Poem by Ace Jaxon

One’s truth destroyed by the plague of others

Their view destructive and critical

To move along without their own song

They walk alone, forgetting to sing

The songs of their heart

The lies in their lungs

Corrupted and stolen

They cry for peace of mind

They shout it to the sky

The sky falling to sleep

So unable to see, so unable to hear

“I beg you all, Stop your Sobbing!”

They swing around and pounce, it’s as if I’m lunch

I fall to the floor and they circle around

Everything goes black my mind goes silent

Then they begin to peck
