The girl who shines

The girl who shines

A Poem by Aa Harvey

The Girl who Shines.

You have a beautiful smile,

That is something I cannot deny.

But you would run a mile,

If I offered to be your guy.

I guess you have a sense of humour,

Or maybe that’s just a rumour.

Only kidding, I’m an idiot around you.

My brain doesn’t work; I think I’d like you to,

Tell me your truths, your needs I can manage.

I’ll be here if you like me.

If you don’t?  God damn it!

Your smile is divine, you have beautiful eyes;

I like your haircut, I can no longer deny.

But I’m sorry if you feel the same way,

Because I can’t be your Man today.

Times are hard, timing is gone.

Thinking is harder, goodbye Sun.

You shine for me like a shooting star,

I just wanted to give you a piece of my heart.
