Have I?

Have I?

A Poem by Aidz

Shelter me from the rain my muse

Touch the solace on my ever furrowed brow

Liquid the red rain tethers me to earth

Hangs languid while the last falls from oblique skies

Disappearing into the insipid blackness

Becoming hard to swallow bitterness upon my tongue

Less of the sweet coated in yesterdays words

Engraved cold upon marble monuments

Silent sentinels for the dawn shadows

Intended for other dreams yet to be

Still the lingering doubt remains

Have a I loved you before I loved you into existence

have I loved you before I loved you into existence? A deep question. Love is that powerful that when it comes it feels like it has always been. A fitting description of this in this poem. Well penned.

A beautiful poem of love. Love open the door to questions and new emotions. We need our muses. Give us purpose to pick-up our pens to create. Thank you for the excellent poem.

I think we all love the concept of a muse and once we come to the realization that we desire one, one appears to us.. it could be consciously or subconsciously. My muses came to me at important moments in my life.. Evelyn when I was a young teenager and Catharine when I was starting on my BA. I think muses are like that and we do need to honor them with song and praise. I love the images you used in this piece. Well done.

the muse has been my one true love...never failing to be there, always...and i love the last line...did i love you into existence?
there are other dreams meant to be...other dreams that will find words...and the doubt that lingers...will she stay?

You've invoked the muse spirits upon your soul, we're not to question which came first, the muse is ostensibly inside of you if you can write such lovely poetry. Compelling read Aidz.
