Taken

You've taken my time which was for those dearest to me.

In my rearview mirror everything happens for a reason and I guess this was how it was ment to be.

You've taken my heart, keep it I don't want it be bruised,  the memories are enough.

You've taken my thoughts and broke windows that lead to my soul.

Untouchably..  Untouchable.

You've taken my vulnerability and molded it to your twisted DNA.

I feel your pain.

You've taken my patience and pushed it to the edge knowing that I would wait.

I'd wait because your happiness was more important,

You've taken my vision of what's here and how into distorted blurred lines of what's fact,  fiction,  and reality.

My perception of time is lost where minutes seem like hours to days feeling like weeks.

So I'll take what I have left and keep moving on because that is all I know how to do.

I like the way the word "taken" is used throughout the poem - gives it continuitity the image of the window broken is very compelling I think the sense of transgression and the response to that might be strenthened by a tighter dialoue all in all it is an excellent well written piece
