"Inspiration..."

"Inspiration..."

A Poem by Chris
"

How we find that our thoughts want to wander the world...

"

How we find that our thoughts want to wander the world… inspirations, aspirations - are moments to be treasured.

This eve I sat with others’ echoes

whispering behind my eyes

- my own images held within.

I didn't cry ...didn't cry -

though the melancholy held

my mind

while my fingertips bled ...again.

“Inspiration…”

I've sat in "Peacock" gardens,

looked out atop castle walls,

down from the glaciers,

up from the valleys,

‘cross vales and veils of “distants”,

sailed roiling seas, walked lands’ end surf,

wondered futures and reasons

and even existence -

and left tears under foreign skies.

I daydreamed so many “whens”

and lived with others’ “whys”.

NOW - halfway ‘cross the world,

the wandered oceans, continents -

paths of knights and minstrels,

silently follow behind.

I've tasted "storied" hallows,

crossed "sands" of memories' fields.

Even now I sense the pause of times -

rippling amongst my own …moments…

moments held daily, tightly …near.

Each ghostlet shimmers

beneath life's very breath

as visions circle and circle

to re-and-reappear.

And there ARE faces, so many now - crowds

crowds of faces - more to be thought over,

reaching hands, touched hands and voices -

soft, sibilant echoes, the tones in dreams -

friends and others close -

unstilled heartbleats -  still meaning

more than life

- such are my stars.

A star's path.....
I can't bear to read YOU.. sometimes
I see them, and I see me
in every word you type
I love the sharing, caring
but the tears ..the tears ....
why must they linger
forever..in mind

' unstilled heartbleats - still meaning more than life - - such are my stars. ' And such beautiful stars, Chris.

Seems wherever you've been, whoever you've met has left varying prints behind. You've become your experiences; you've become how you've travelled life - ' .the tones in dreams - friends and others close - unstilled heartbleats '

Even trials and sadness, stress and worse, hasn't diminished your spirit. Such, fine writing.

Perfect use of words and thoughts. When I was young. I read Hemingway, Jack London and Nevil Shute. They took me to new places and taught me. Life is travel, laughter and many friend. I enjoyed the thoughts and the logic of this poem. Thank you Chris for sharing the amazing poetry.

Loved the tone of this. It's a funny feeling being filled with other voices and times, all the things we read the people we meet through the words. Your writing has changed a lot since I was last here

Good seeing you Mal...how goes life?
crowds of faces more imagined than seen...but the writing here...so inspiring...my mind wanders with the other poets...

i travel with them, and then start my own journeys...especially when reading you, Chris.

Em, I miss you when "life" gets busy and takes you away... you've a rare mind and a brilliant voice.

The rarity is finding someone to listen
This piece brought to mind many familiar feelings I've had while traveling. Very well done. It stirs the wanderlust in me.
