I Am Not the Person I Used to Be

I Am Not the Person I Used to Be

A Poem by Anne
"

The poems I right are spontaneous. They come from thoughts in my mind, just words about a thought. Not necessarily following any particular "rule" of poem writing.

"

I am not the same person I used to be
I look back ten years ago
And see a whole old me

Are you?

I am not the same person I was yesterday
I learned from my ways
To be more open, loving, and accepting

Have you?

I am not the same person
Life has shaped me
Life has given me the lens at which
I view the world
It becomes my reality

What is your reality?

What do you see?

What experience brought you here?

I am not the same person I used to be

Are you?

I think if we all look back over the years, none of us are the person we used to be.

When we finally pick up that lens - everything starts to look different and thats when we change - when we look at life through a lens.

Good write Anne.

It's amazing how the years go by and we all change. We all learn from our past and do better in the future. Nice job!
