i don't want easy

i don't want easy

A Poem by AutumnBelle
"

a just scribbled this down tonight, its a really raw poem and needs a lot of work, i know. any thoughts appreciated!

"

I don’t want easy.

I don’t want perfect.

I don’t want beautiful.

Realness. That’s what I crave.

I’m not painting an unrealistic

Foolish picture in my mind

For you to live up to.  Then there would

Be failure. Total. Only.

We cannot aim at perfection for us,

Only a beautiful string of growth.

Myriads of minutes spent together,

Hammered together into memories,

They shape us more and more.

Who we are.

I see you. I don’t deserve this moment.

I don’t want easy, I just want you.

We’ll raise our eyes to the lovely together, work through life in each others arms,

Us. Mutually flawed. Mutually in pursuit of the highest truth, through steps of growth.

We’ll get through this. Together. You and me.

One to help the other up. Grasp my hand.

Love, trust, pulsing through

Fingers touching fingers.

real feelings, real love, real passion, we mention such items so often when we are not sure of the partner's feelings to us. i liked how you have penned this poem in such a nice sweet way..

There's a good flow and a great voice displayed in this one Autumn. Like you say in the beginning of the poem you want realness. This is a realistic desire something we can and should all admire. Even your use of punctuation didn't hinder the enjoyment in reading your words. I liked this line a lot, "Hammered together into memories,
They shape us more and more."
and
"We’ll raise our eyes to the lovely together, work through life in each others arms,
Us. Mutually flawed."

Sounds like you know what true love is...and I agree to it.
