begging prayers

Thrumming everywhere,

Waterfall of tears, 

Hard rain of weeping

Plinking on glass...

Falling in His bottle.

He sees every salty drop,

He heard me even before the tears.

Do i trust, even if my

Begging prayers

Aren’t given a yes? 

Faith.

“Unwavering trust in the heart of God

in the hurt of here.”

Even when we don’t understand.

Then we pray that truth be branded

On our soul..

“God is always good and we are always loved.

Loved enough to be shaped

Into goodness of Christ Himself.”

Will we believe this hope when begging prayers

Aren’t given yes?  Will we still believe God?

Let go of our wants... and believe? 

These prayers are hardest.

Let go of our picture of what’s good for us, 

Burn truth in our hearts.

“Even if He doesn’t do what we beg, we are still His beloved.

Even if He doesn’t, He still is.”

His will is still right- even if it doesn’t picture what we will.

His heart is good.

His people will not waver.

“real prayer has eyes on Christ,

not on the calamity."

So store my tears in your bottle.

Hear me.

Shape my desires to look like yours.

i believe in God, so this is thoughts on trust and faith even when waves and wind crash around our lives. even when all looks lost, how we can still believe.

we all need prayers. we need to pray for orselves and for others as we need others to pray for us..
