Love Shines

Love Shines

A Poem by Ralphy

Love shines

In the darkest corners around the world
Love shines brightly through the frail lands
As a mother cuddles her under nutritious child
Letting her tears bring joy while shelter her pain
Amazing I say, for love, somehow love, found a way

In a war torn land a solder lies wounded in a battle
That wasn’t of his doing but is willing to fight for the cause
Not knowing whether he’ll live or die he cries out
A letter of tears addressed to his family.
The compassion of love that I never knew...

I see a child lost in a land that says he is less than he is
His mother instills into him, he's more than anyone can see
The boy confused by all the hatred surrounding him
His mother holds him tight and says only loves can shine through
Oh my God, the dam has broke in my eyes and the flood won’t stop

For even through the toughest of times and pain
People have grasped the wonderment of that word
The one that surround us, with such passion throughout time
The word that sliver through a tiny crack to give inspiration
Those without hope for they know, life is love and to love is life
