Not Human

Not Human

A Poem by Ralphy

Not human

A fragile heart swings slowly in the breeze,
splintered by the winds of change
that sang with voices of chimes
but now cries in the storm…

A light reflect out of scratches,
revealing cracks that penetrated
into the depths of emotional being,
lost in grief,
somber thoughts seem to rise
from beneath the ashes
filling a void with disbelief…

A friend, a lover, a family member
or even an acquaintance
established a link to this fragile heart
that slowly breaks,
reflecting memories that dribble down one’s face,
slowly washing away the pain…

Beneath the shattered heart
with healing hands
is an orb,
one of mercy, love and admiration for all.
Its most precious feature
is the warmth it possesses
and shares with all those around it,
an embellishing moment
captured by something that is not even human,
as source of energy,
that connects with time in a manner
far more complex than anything
known to us as mortal beings.

The softness of its touch,
and smoothness of it songs,
echoes with fragile chimes
that now has withstood
hurricane forced winds,
and sways gently
in the summer breeze…

A very interesting write, Ralphy. Subtle, yet complex. Gentle, yet strong.

::: SIGH ::::

Ralphy ...you have a way of writing that somehow lifts ones spirit regardless of the subject.
More of an illustration of the beautiful side of all things
your command of translating nature in metaphor and simile is wonderful

so nice...
love the font too
