Gone But Never Forgotten

Gone But Never Forgotten

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

Rest in Peace
Timothy Moody
March 12, 1984-April 9, 2011
You are greatly missed.

"His smile is most memorable to me. When we were younger he used to think it was funny when me and jonathan would fight. Lol. But to me, his smile stands out most! When I think of him, I see that toothy grin lol. Also watching him play baseball with john and jonathan on the big field"-Holly Edmonson (Timothy's cousin)

"I really didn't know Timmy to well but i did know that there was nothing like his mom and his nanny to him. They meant the world to him. And has he's n heaven smiling down i know he's watching over the 2 that meant the most to him." -Cristin Hawkins

Wings of an angel

Will never replace
The hole you left
When you went away
Loved more than anything
Treasured
 adored
Loved by all
Who walked through the door.
*
Never knew Timmy
As well as they say
But without his mom and nanny
He would have walked away
You two meant the world to him
If only he had words
To make it true
Heaven can’t hold the smile that shines
Watching over you
With the will to survive
*
Beautiful smile
I remember best
Lit up his face
Brought light to all who stood before it
Laughing like crazy
When we would fight
Playing ball
With the boys
Such a big field
But it never got to him
Baseball games
Sheepish grins
These are what I remember most about him.
*
Little talks
That mean the most
Beautiful spirit
Invisible to most
Judging nobody
Beauty survives
He has blessed us
With his shining light
Most loved of all
We miss that life
*
Full of love
For those he held dear
Cherish his memories
For they will save you from here
Carrying this burden
On into the night
Carry on strong
Is what he would think
If only he knew
How hard those words seem
*
Angelic savior
Saving grace
Loved by many
Nobody could hate
Smile warming
Those you held dear
We will miss you
As you finish the chores
That were placed for you here
*
Wings of an angel
Will never replace
The hole you left
When you went away
Loved more than anything
Treasured
 adored
Loved by all
Who walked through the door.

Author's Note

Alicia Hirshey
A tribute to one of the greatest people I know. Timothy Moody. For those that never had the chance to meet him, he was a shining light. But was taken from us, hit by a train. You have died to young. And you are missed by many. I wrote this hoping to bring light to who you were.
Gone But Never Forgotten.

As Robin said, I'm sure he was reading this poem as you posted and wrote it, smiling and thanking God to have known you while he did alive.

This is absolutely stunning... I'm speechless and heartbroken all at once. You're an amazing writer and this tribute couldn't have been said any better. Unfortunately, its always the shining lights that get taken from us so early. I'm sure he knows that he is loved and still missed.
