Fleur d'Amour

Fleur d'Amour

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

The title translates to "Flower of Love." The poem had some real life inspiration, about someone who will always have a very special place in my heart.

"

Sunny skies and the blue of it all
It's a beautiful site
And when I think of it
My mind is drawn to thoughts of you

You are the sun that lights my days
The sweet smell of flowers and dew
You are the embodiment of springtime
So wonderful and pure

And when my skies turn grey
And the rain pours down
I just think of you
And suddenly the skies clear
With the wonderful chorus of birds singing
And a rainbow shimmering in the distance

And when I see you
Hair flowing in the wind
I realize that the world has so much beauty
Because you smile and bat those pretty brown eyes
It brings me a feeling I can't describe

So my bright light, brown eyed girl
Will you take me to another world
Will show me the secrects of the starts
And how they sparkle and shine in the night

And when I think of you
I feel sad in your absence, it's true
You're something far beyond the mondane of wonderful
And I can't get enough of you in my life
So sing me a lulabye
Make it last forever
And be my enteral sunshine
Oh darling, won't you be mine
And make it last forever

Author's Note

Blake Q Hatfield
I choose to do the title in French because it's the considered by most to be the language of love, I think that poetry and music trump any language, but currently it's what French is know as, so I went with it.

You know, i think you actually ended up calling it "Flower of the love" because of the L' at the beginning of amour... I'm fairly sure it would just be "Fleur d'Amour"...just a suggestion.
