The Wedding Vows

The Wedding Vows

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

If a comedic and dramatic writer got together to make a guys vows, I think this would be a good first draft

"

Of all 100 girls in the deep blue sea
You’re the picture perfect one for me
Like a serene vanilla sky, a deep impact to my heart
When I’m with you, the world is not enough
But your smile is the perfect rising sun

You are my arc of truth
The guru that my heart needed to not die another day
I couldn't even think of 10 things i hate about you
All I can think is that she's the one
This is not lip service just self accepted truth

To love you is to live a life less ordinary
To embrace what dreams may come
I just want to be your loverboy
No true lies, my mask no longer in plain sight
To love I must be me in all my glory

And when the end comes to these strange days
An exit to Eden eternal, the final destination
I hope that if i can say anything, I can say we loved well
We embraced life and lived like the best of the best
While this may be an inconvenient truth to the 100 women or so
Who loved me in my naive youth so dazed and confused
I wish to be committed to you for all my days
So with this memento, the ring gold and truth
I pledge myself to be your ray of light forever and a day

I enjoyed reading these Movie Madness wedding vows! What I like most about these fun little writes is when you come upon a title such as: An Inconvenient Truth and you know what it's actually about - sort of makes one chuckle every few lines. Loved it!

~great job - good luck in the contest~
