Final Smile

Final Smile

A Poem by ShayElexis(:

I love him
He loves me
They hate him
They hate us

Every head light going down the street feels like death brushing by
When hope is found you brace for the impact of rejection and failure
All eyes are prayed to be allies

"He needs a job" they complain, then the job isn't good enough
"His hair is to long" they preach, then its not the style they want
"He is to old" they contradict.

"You are just a child"
Their favorite line
"You are to young"
Yet my life is not ruined at sixteen as theirs was.

They pray for my failure
I pray for the day that I can smile and say
"I won"
