When love from a far takes on so many twists and doubts with so many secrets and lies...

She Only

She saw me as a person and cared to take a look,

I opened my heart and soul let her read my book.

I told her things of me shared what I had made,

In my distant hopes that she would have stayed.

I told her of my desires and of my inner romance,

Held her words and pictures as if it were a dance.

I read her statements and her hidden little lies.

Didn't care about a model the person inside cries.

Soon I learned I was not the only one in a hold,

There were many standing in line so I was told.

Her words became shallow a few lines of text,

Nothing really said and nothing showing next.

Finally, my heart was beaten by secrets she kept,

Soon I sad in silence as my soul and heart wept.

For now, I know she had no place held for me,

As swiftly as she came so harshly she did flee.

Now I am gone and hidden from her very sight,

She would get the pleasure of seeing me at night.

Still, I wonder why it relationship could just be,

Love and happiness and between us a reality.
