Hypocritical

This isn't a poem or anything close to it but it means a lot to me and I hope it impacts you.

If trust is forcing yourself to be okay with something you're not

 then I'll pass

I'll take the high road and crash into these gates 

that confine me from every human relationship

because relationships are built on trust 

and I definitely never had that

Never seen its light shine through a foggy window pane

Never tried to care 

because caring too much means 

hurting even more 

and if you can't see the pain behind my curses 

then maybe you should use your ears for someone else's screams

 because I've never been okay with staying up til 3 in the morning

 over a fight we won't remember next week

My own personal world isn't defined by

 how many people I've fallen in love with 

because I'm in love with this earth 

and it has never failed me 

but mainkind has failed it irrevocably 

and I can't ever look at you the same again

 even after other peoples faults

 Even after my own.
