I'm looking for approval

Looking for someone to say

That I'm beautiful

See? I dressed like a model today

Put on a short dress

And tights because heaven forbid you see my legs

See? My hair is down

Not in a ponytail like yesterday

Because you thought it wasn't cute

See? I'm wearing makeup

The natural look is ugly

And you hate natural

See? I've changed my face

Took off the glasses and avoided contacts

I'd rather not see than get judged by you

See? I've changed my attitude

I'm mean to all my old friends

And act like a diva to my new ones

You like me don't you?

I've changed everything about me

I'm not ugly or nerdy anymore

So say I'm pretty

I rely on you to judge my life

Give me a 1-10 please

If I'm not above average

Tell me what I need to do better

Because you matter the most to me

Screw the old me, hello to the new me

You decide how I live my life, right?

Oh wait, YOU DON'T.
