Stars slash the night

Stars Slash The Night

Stars slash the night
Moon`s pimpled face
Hides cuts and scars
Jealous of its own light
It hides in its dark, forever
Awaiting, the sinister
Comet`s glean and spark.
Existential space angst
Troubled, brooding
Smeared with black
Smeared with death.
Mercury, in gothic attire
Awaits the knife which will
Splatter across Mars
Leaving bloodstained smears.
And we all smile here
Frown nonchalantly with despair
The coming age of merry tears
Which does not feel.

The last two people standing
Beside the last flower.
The Stardust rose.
It knows its power, always sleeping,
Always yearning, always, at rest
Despite what lingers in its subconscious
Its cruel, detained deathbed.
