The Song Bird

The Song Bird

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

song birds

"

Morning light

Begins again

Never fails

Hope’s anew

Little song

Of bird

So blue

Lifts my

Spirit’s

Makes me

Fly,

Little dove

seeks some shade

Hiding from the

Noon of day

Near the thicket

By the brook

So still Is she,

I hear her coo

And though she’s

Absent from

My sight

Her song

so soft

Says all

is right,

Light of dusk

Calms the wind

Water loon

renews her

song

days last light

glimmers low

And her song

of sorrow

Wakes the stars.

Nothing more beautiful than the songs of life's creatures. Beautiful birds once the monsters of days past as dinosaurs, who knew? :)
